When I first unboxed the Breville the Q, the smoked hickory finish really caught my eye—it's a handsome addition to my counter. The die-cast metal base feels solid, and the 11 speeds plus pulse give me fine control. I’ve made smoothies and even hot soup in it; the thermal control system kept things from overheating. The 48 oz jug is great for family batches, and the 24 oz cup is handy for single servings. It handles ice and frozen fruit effortlessly, producing smooth blends. The only downside is the price tag—$325 is steep for a blender. Also, the noise level is noticeable on high speeds. But if you want power and durability, this is a solid choice.
